Sorting food and clothing donations, maintaining horse barns, fixing bicycles, shopping for school supplies, caring for homeless pets and planting gardens are just a few ways our employees gave back this year to our community. I briefly mentioned this in my last post but then realized the volunteer efforts of our employees deserved its own post (really it could fill up an entire blog)!
As part of our Values Conference, we partner with Hands On Charlotte to coordinate a half day of activities to support local nonprofit organizations. Since our corporate volunteer day was launched in 1998, Premier employees have donated countless hours of their time helping organizations in our communities.
This year, our employees flooded Charlotte in their “Premier Gives Back” T-shirts and began helping any way they could. Our army of “do-gooders” sure made a difference. By the end of the day, our employees had provided over 3,000 hours of service to 32 organizations across the Charlotte area.
I just love this quote from Eric Law, the executive director of Hands On Charlotte; it really captures the spirit of our employees and their passion for improving our community:
That’s the thing about Premier employees. Our passion to improve our community extends way past the work we do at the office. I believe our efforts on this day are a testament of who Premier is, what we do, and why we do it every day.
Here are just a few of the pictures from this year’s volunteer day, but make sure to check out our Facebook album for more!
Our generosity and focus on the community doesn’t just happen on one day. We provide our employees paid time off each quarter to give back to their local communities. And we host different drives throughout the year at our office in Charlotte.
From the Salvation Army Angel Tree program to Classroom Central’s annual back-to-school supply drive, from Toys for Tots drives to collections for cans, clothing and household items, Premier employees are always looking for the next way to “give back.”
At Premier, our mission is simple and honest – to improve the health of communities, any way we can. I could not be more proud of our employees and the way they take their dedication to our mission outside of the office and into their communities to make a difference. With the combination of our service year-round and our annual day of service, our employees have donated countless hours of support and truly impacted our community in the most positive of ways!
